One of the cleanest, nicest hostels I have ever stayed. The staff were courteous and very helpful. There is a kitchen to cook if you want. It’s close to the walk of fame, while being far enough for a quiet and safe stay.

The host was super friendly and told me about the elephant seals, which were so cute. I love the vintage feel of Orange Drive Hostel. it’s such a lovely, unique building.

Didn't stay here but was visiting a friend who had booked. The receptionist Kyle was generous enough to let us store our luggage with them while we went around. A fun conversationalist with great recommendations for food.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hostel. Good basic, clean, accommodations near transit. It’s right off of the Hollywood Walk. I did find myself getting frustrated walking behind distracted people. There was also no grocery store in the immediate area, although there was one within walking distance. Dining area could be better designed and more cheerful. Old smoking area in the front should be torn out or completely repurposed. Still reads like a smoking area. I felt there could be a little more common space. However I was very pleased overall.

For the price and location it's hard to beat. Rooms have the bare necessities, not much else, you have a fridge, free wifi, available parking, and the bathrooms are cleaned regularly. The best part is the location and is the biggest reason I would recommend if you're on a budget.

The price was super competitive compared to other places, and the location is perfect — just a 3-minute walk from the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We could even see the Magic Castle from our window, which was really cool! It felt incredible staying in such a cozy, authentic American house. I don’t remember his name, but the bald guy who helped us was absolutely amazing — so kind and helpful! He even showed me how to use the old vintage phone in the hostel, which let me make a free call and turned into such a fun little experience. I wish him all the best and hope he finally visits the Magic Castle someday! Definitely the best stay we could have imagined!
